Soapbox Series
Speakers from the Soapbox Series roundtable forum requested a poster design to promote a talk about climate-change-themed fictional work-- specifically a short story about futuristic Venice, drowned as a result of rising waters.
I decided to focus on the image of Venice underwater in my design, reducing the great city to a fantasy scale to invite one to take a step back and view climate change’s damage from a broader perspective. Like the earth in shape and metaphor, the fishbowl is nearly overwhelmed. An inevitable future is imagined here-- an eventual overflow and disruption.
In addition to the poster, I also developed a logo for the forum using Adelphi's official font and gold color.
