Mindful Media is a nonprofit awareness campaign I built with an aim to help keep families educated and on-track when it comes to raising healthy children in today’s increasingly digital world.
I wanted to specifically target young American families with one or more children under the age of eight, calling attention to this new digital world while focusing on issues this audience would find relevant.
At the core of my brand’s mission was promoting using digital media in a conscious, “mindful,” manner-- expressing that with an educated outlook and focus on consumption in moderation, families can attain the most meaningful and appropriate relationships with technology and with each other.
I’ve designed pieces that are bold and serious, reflecting the mature nature of Mindful Media’s intentions, and yet possess a youthful edge reminiscent of the children involved in the brand’s message. I blend emotive and contemplative desaturated photography, practical negative space, and acute text language with quirkier and more playful elements like unexpected type treatments and pops of color.
