Kappa Pi Honorary Art Fraternity Exhibition, This Is Not What It Seems, March - April 2018

The digital illustration, Floral Ambivalence is a personal piece I created to be a part of Kappa Pi Honorary Art Fraternity's exhibition, This Is Not What It Seems.
My take on the exhibition's theme led me to produce a piece depicting visual chaos and concealment. I was inspired to illustrate a perspective on the nature of a woman; the figure struggles to fulfill her to desire to be bold and bright, seen and heard, while fighting her tendency to feel lost and submissive. Her stance can be perceived as at once bowing and rising, and despite the beauty she exudes, her body blends into the colorful noise of her surroundings.
